Music has always been an integral part of my life. 

In 1990, I embarked on a spiritual journey that lasted four years and one of my guides on this journey was jazz music. I started drawing portraits of legendary jazz musicians and began frequenting Boston's best jazz nightclubs and photographing the artists who played there.

I hope they evoke the spirit that I felt while creating them...

Many thanks to the musicians for their gracious friendships and to the great jazz photographers before me, most notably William Claxton and Herman Leonard whose work still inspires me today.
